Macesic Lab
Discovering, detecting, and disrupting
antimicrobial resistance (AMR)

AMR is one of the defining health challenges of our time. In hospitals and communities, resistance emerges through interactions between pathogens, patients, environments, and healthcare systems.

Our lab studies AMR as a dynamic system: moving beyond single genes or organisms to generate insights that translate into earlier detection, better clinical decisions, and effective interventions.
